About This Blog

This Blog is for/about Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who served in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) from 1961 – 1966, staff members and their families, and the East Pakistani and American friends who supported our ambitions and fed us great meals when we “came to town”.

The Blog Administrator is Bette Lemperle. Send your material for the Blog to Bette and she will post it. Start going through your albums and shoeboxes filled with pictures, letters, and memorabilia. As you do this I know you will come up with stories – about your town, your work, your friends, your travels, etc. Write them up and email them to Bette along with the pictures that got you remembering, smiling, and wanting to share. Send a picture of yourself as a volunteer and one of you now. Tell us what you were doing in East Pak and what you have done in the years since then.

If you do not have the skill needed to combine written information and pictures in an email (and can’t find a family member or friend to help you), write-up the information in an email and send the pictures to Bette by snail mail, or send it all by snail mail.

Suggestions? Send them too!
